The garden dragon series started from the mushroom dragon. This idea came from doing a dog benefit art show with an Alice in Wonderland theme. He wanted to come up with a dragon that would possibly live in wonderland. It was so popular that he decided to do more little mischievous dragons that would live with it, but he switched them to living in a garden. Thinking they would camouflage themselves by taking on some of the textures and colors of the different plants. He also threw in some whimsy too. This series branched off into a series of Drinks & Dragons, which are of course very popular. The Drinks and Dragons compositions were inspired by the vintage poster of the girl in a champagne glass.
Stanley is always experimenting with new techniques and mediums. Due to his limitless imagination, his work knows no boundaries. His vast creativity can draw you in and encompass you, making you feel as if his work was created just for you.
